3M Privacy Filters temporarily installs private pods in airports

3M is promoting its laptop screen privacy filters by installing quiet work/rest areas (called ‘Airport Privacy Havens’) at Chicago O’Hare (Terminal 2), Dallas/Fort Worth (Terminal C) and New York JFK (Terminal 8.) during the November month. Each Privacy Haven offers travelers private seating and electrical outlets for free. Furthermore, on November 24-25 and November 28-29 – four of the busiest travel days of the year in the U.S. – 3M will also provide free massages and complimentary Wi-Fi between 8 am and 5 pm at any of the three Airport Privacy Havens.

Last year, 3M also offered travellers at the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport  free wifi, snacks, beverages and massages during the two days prior to Thanksgiving. According to a recent survey, comissioned by 3M, 92 percent of travelers wish airports offered private spaces allowing them to get work done and relax while waiting to board flights.

3M Privacy Filter also runs a website, AirportPrivacyHavens.com, where travelers can recommend the best private spaces to head for at over 40 airports across the U.S to catch a break or get some work done when waiting for a (connecting) flight.
